At eduSpace, we’re committed to ensuring your child reaches his or her potential through comprehensive and engaging instruction. Our team of passionate and highly qualified tutors strive to provide the best possible learning experience for your child. Our teaching methods encourage students to make observations, ask questions and come up with logical predictions, key skills required to excel in Science.
As an MOE-registered tuition centre, eduSpace closely aligns its curriculum with the MOE Science syllabus across the Primary, Secondary, and Junior College levels. We actively draw from real life examples, allowing students to hone their application skills and adequately demonstrate their understanding of Science concepts. Introducing relatable experiences into the classroom further nurtures a greater appreciation and interest for the subject. At eduSpace, we believe that learning Science should be interesting and easy.
Discover an enriching Science learning experience at eduSpace, where our passionate and dedicated Science tutors cater to individual learning needs, regardless of your child’s current proficiency in Science.
A child’s interest in a Science is often tied to how confident he or she feels towards the subject, learning style, and whether he or she feels supported during the learning process.
At eduSpace, students can expect to receive a tailored and effective learning experience with our highly experienced Science tutors. Having coached students for more than 10 years, we are familiar with various learning styles and common conceptual misconceptions students might have.
Our tutors are also trained to conduct lessons in a conducive and non-judgemental manner, where students do not feel intimidated or embarrassed to ask questions. Students are also free to get help with school assignments from the tutors at eduSpace.
With a friendly learning environment and experienced tutors that go the extra mile, your child’s confidence and interest toward Science can be nurtured over time.
When revising for tests, your child is able to regurgitate Science facts and answer questions from his or her worksheets perfectly. Yet, when the question is phrased differently, your child does not know how to answer it and feels “caught off guard”.
We get this a lot, and understand that it’s both puzzling and frustrating for you and your child.
With a greater emphasis being placed on application questions and higher-order thinking skills, the education system is more rigorous today. At eduSpace, our proprietary Science guidebook and resources help build a strong foundation in the subject. Additionally, we also expose your child to challenging past exam questions to strengthen and deepen their mastery of various topics.
The MOE Science syllabus helps students develop logical thinking in two aspects: a) Students are tasked to apply or evaluate a concept in real world situation, b) Students are exposed to the scientific method, where they understand what it means to conduct fair experiments, collect data, analyse those results and communicate their findings in a clear and systematic manner.
It is common for students to “skip steps” in their explanation. Typically this points to two common areas of weakness: a) Students are not able to articulate their understanding of certain scientific phenomena, b) Students memorise the outcome, but cannot explain the reason for the results.
Rather than relying on route memorisation, it is beneficial to expose your child to a wide variety of real life applications for them to gain a more comprehensive understanding and appreciation of the concept. Additionally, it might be worthwhile relooking at your child’s foundational understanding of that specific process, skill, or concept, and clarifying any misconceptions before proceeding to tackling application related questions.
Parents can look for resources online, speak to teachers at school, or work with tuition centres to better understand how to best help their child.
As parents ourselves, we understand your desire to provide your child with the best support they can receive for their academic journey. Teaching your child Science, especially at the more advanced levels can be challenging. Not only would it require you to have a good grasp of multiple concepts, you’d also need to have a good understanding of what examiners are looking for.
At eduSpace, we always ensure parents are kept in the loop of how their child is doing. We’re also more than happy to provide tailored tips and advice on how to support your child’s specific academic needs for Science.
If you’re struggling to help your child improve at home, you can consider signing your child up for a trial lesson at eduSpace. At eduSpace, we employ a variety of proven methods to help your child improve their understanding of complex Science concepts.
From helping your child with school homework, to staying back after lessons to ensure your child fully grasps a concept, our dedicated Science tutors are here to support your child’s academic journey.
Having taught students for 10+ years, our Science tutors have developed our own proprietary notes and guidebooks to help your child effectively understand and apply concepts. We are familiar with the specific skill sets being tested for each component of the Science paper, and with adequate guidance, your child no longer needs to feel afraid of the subject.
At eduSpace, we’re here to add value - and not repeat - what has been taught at school. With ex-MOE teachers leading our Science department, we know how topics are taught in class. This allows us to supplement your child’s lessons in school and help them evaluate their own learning by highlighting common mistakes or easy methods to memorise certain Science concepts.
Students often get stressed out by challenging Science exam questions, which typically consist of the high-weightage questions at the end of the paper. At eduSpace, we do our best to expose your child to these questions, while imparting useful exam tips to help your child enter the exams feeling more confident and ready.
As parents ourselves, we resonate with wanting only the best for your child. We understand the importance of partnering with you to ensure your child receives the necessary support required for his or her academic success. As such, we regularly share updates on your child’s progress and offer tips on how you can support your child holistically at home.
While our goal is to prepare your child for academic success, it doesn’t end there for us. Your child’s wellbeing is also paramount to us. At eduSpace, we intentionally create a safe and healthy environment for your child to grow in. This opens up opportunities to impart good moral values and life lessons necessary for success beyond the classroom.
A Learning Centre where my child was happily engaged in for seven (7) solid years. The tutors, namely Lawrence/Jovan/Jayden had taken my child for both Math & Science throughout his upper primary & secondary education. As a parent, I liked that the patient & polite tutors valued the character development & discipline of the students, with regular & timely feedback. While doing their best to ensure that the students do well academically, I appreciate the extra time all tutors spent in planning activities for different academic level during the term holidays. eduSpace is Learning Centre which I would strongly recommend to all parents who are in search of responsible science tutors & students who are looking for conducive learning environment 👍👍👍
I had many friends who attended eduSpace and their results went up sky high. I myself attended this tuition from primary 5 to secondary 4 and NEVER once my science and math score would drop to B. Furthermore, if you had any doubts you want to clear with the tutors, you can always message them your doubts and they most of the time would answer them to you clearly and quickly. They even provide extra lessons for you if there are any major exams coming. If you want your grades to improve, I would recommend eduSpace to you.
In Sec 3 Aryan has difficulty understanding Science(Chem/Bio) even with tuition. He failed Science and almost got retained. When he got advanced in Sec 4, I was searching for another tuition centre and found eduSpace in Jan 2021. Under the attentive and caring guidance of Mr Lawrence(Chem) and Mr Aylwyn(Bio), Aryan begins to have a better understanding. After every lesson the teachers will update parents via WhatsApp. From failing in Sec 3 to getting A2 in O-Level, I made the right choice in choosing eduSpace for my son. Teachers are warm, friendly and very approachable. I am very happy and highly recommend eduSpace to all parents.🥰
